Founded in 1996 Readington River Buffalo Company has been producing superior bison products for both retail and wholesale usage. Our robust herd is from award winning stock from breeders in South Dakota, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana.

Buffalo are more accurately known as Bison, America’s original red meat. For the customer who wants a healthy, low fat product with an outstanding taste, bison is an excellent choice. Due to it’s superb flavor, we are confident you will want to add it to your meat selection.

Our bison are grass fed until they are ready for harvest, and at that time they are fattened with grain. To ensure that we have only the finest and pure grain feed, we grind it ourselves. We use corn, wheat, barley, molasses, and minerals in our feed.

The process of grain finishing adds flavor to the meat that makes our meat taste superior than other bison and beef available on the market today. Our products are all USDA inspected and approved.

Bison can be used in almost any recipe for red meat you can find. We encourage
gourmet cooks to use our products in their most challenging entrees, hor d'oeuvres and side dishes. We have many recipes available for free on our web site, in our store, and we are always adding new ones.
